Process: The Board of Directors will be involved in the appointment of new staff to the College.
Interviews and Presentation: A panel will shortlist a range of suitable candidates. Candidates will be asked to present a short presentation on why they would like to work at the College. The presentation will be a panel consisting of the Board of Directors, the CEO, and one staff member (teacher). The presentation will be on “Why I would like to teach in Central Australia”. It should include a personal rationale for teaching at Nyangatjatjara College, an outline of your strengths and qualifications that would enable you to do the job well. Candidates should focus on both their academic areas of expertise as well as their personal strengths. The presentation should be informal and be of a genre that shows your interest and strengths for working in this context. Each candidate will then be involved in an interview with the panel.
Panel: The panel will consist of the Board of Directors, the CEO and one member of the teaching staff.
Availability: Successful candidates would be required to commence duties as soon as possible. A week long induction for all staff will occur prior to the start of the teaching year. All new staff must undertake the full training. Contracts are renewable at the end of the year due to funding with a 3 month probationary period.
